words from the artist
"Rome is more than ruins and historical landmarks - it's a city of contrasts. From diverse neighbourhoods and vast green spaces, to urban wildlife. This is my Rome."
/ Camilla Falsini

Ancient streets - New stories
The artwork
The artwork — where ancient streets meet new personal stories. Inspired by the city's landmarks, urban wildlife, and ever-changing light, the piece reflects the rich history and vibrant movement of runners through the Eternal City.
A watchful cat, echoing the Capitoline she-wolf, symbolizes Rome’s legally protected feline guardians, while the Tiber River, Ponte Milvio, and Castel Sant’Angelo anchor the composition in history. The Colosseum stands as a reminder of endurance, and soaring seagulls mirror the runners' momentum. A nod to palm trees, brought to Europe by the Romans due to Julius Caesar’s love of dates, ties together the past and present.
This piece is a tribute to both Rome’s legacy and every runner who adds their story to its streets.
