Our sustainability journey
At Memorace, we strive to create artworks that not only celebrate your achievements, but also protect our planet. We believe in making conscious choices that reduce our impact on the environment while supporting local creators. Here are some of our sustainability initiatives:
Local artists and illustrators: We work with artists and illustrators in the region where the race is held, which not only provides a unique artistic connection to the location, but also strengthens the local community and creative industries.
Sustainable paper: All paper used for printing is EU Ecolabel and FSC labeled, meaning it meets strict environmental requirements throughout the production process. This ensures that our artworks are not only beautiful but also sustainably produced with respect for the forest ecosystem and the environment.
Local printing: Our goal is to try to print as locally as possible. We always consider where the majority of participants in a race live and choose our printing partner based on this. For example, for Uppsala Marathon, we printed in Uppsala as most participants live in the Uppsala region. This reduces transportation distances and contributes to a more sustainable supply chain, while supporting the local economy.
More efficient shipping: We collect all orders and print and ship only once a week. This allows us to minimize unnecessary emissions from transport while streamlining our process for both you as a customer and the environment.
We recognize that sustainability is a journey, and we are continuously working to find new ways to reduce our environmental impact and improve our processes. Together, we can create positive change, one milestone at a time.
